Living The Faith

As our mission states, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School  is centered in Jesus Christ, courageous in faith, and scholars for truth. Our students have many opportunities each day, week and month of the school year to experience a life centered in Jesus Christ as they learn about the richness and beauty of their faith and to make of it a flame lighting the path of their lives now and into the future. Some of the faith experiences our students participate in include:

  • Daily Prayer
  • School Mass twice a week and on Holy Days of ObDSC01085ligation. Grades 3-8 have opportunities to lector at these Liturgies. Students also serve and lead the singing.
  • Altar Serving for Grades 5-8
  • Daily Religion Classes
  • Monthly Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Convent Chapel
  • Weekly class Rosaries throughout the year and during May
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation offered to students during Advent and Lent
  • Sacramental Preparation for 2nd Grade First Communion and Reconciliation
  • All-School Special Liturgies
  • Stations of the Cross during each Friday of Lent lead by the students
  • Holy Week Service- Seder Meal celebration with family units
  • May Crowning
  • Retreats for Confirmandi and First Communicants
  • Virtue Curriculum putting our faith into action
  • Stewardship: Each classroom chooses a yearly stewardship project to exercise our Christian discipleship in our love for our neighbor.
  • Other Stewardship Projects include (to name a few):  Thanksgiving Food Baskets; Project Rice Bowl: Mission money is collected during Lent; Shoes for Souls
